Board Certified Pediatric Dentist

Dr. Brett Carranza (Dr. Brett) is a Kearney, Nebraska native. He attended Northeast Elementary School, Horizon and Sunrise Middle Schools and Kearney High School (Go Bearcats!). Dr. Brett grew up right down the street from the Kearney Pediatric Dentistry dental office and is thankful to have served the Kearney community for over a decade.

Dr. Brett is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist who received his dental degree from the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry. Dr. Brett then completed a residency at the Oklahoma University (OU) Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Following his residency at the OU Children’s Hospital, Dr. Brett completed an additional two years of specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). Dr. Brett’s postdoctoral training focused on the growth and development of infants, children, teens and patients with special health care needs.

Dr. Brett is a member of the Nebraska Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Nebraska Society of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the Hispanic Dental Association. Dr. Brett is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Brett currently serves as a University of Nebraska College of Dentistry adjunct faculty member. Dr. Brett serves on the Nebraska Dental Association board of trustees, is a board member for the Kearney Area Children’s Museum and is a member of the Health Service Advisory Committee.

Dr. Brett was honored to have served as an officer in the Army National Guard for eight years following dental school graduation. He is grateful to all the men and women who have served and those who currently serve in the military.
